Daughters of the Nile Foundation Check Presentations 2022 Texas and Ohio

May 23, 2022 – Herbie Kay Skinner Lundquist, VP of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation Board of Directors, and Carol Hefley, Daughters of the Nile Foundation Board of Directors, had the honor of presenting a check to Shriners Children’s Texas.  The check was for two pieces of equipment, an AMTI Nasoendoscopy Device and a Getinge Servo U Ventilator for a total of $50,692.  Pictured are Stephen White, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Herbie Kay Skinner Lundquist and Carol Hefley.  Covid is still a concern in Galveston, so unfortunately, we could not invite any one from Daughters of the Nile Texas Temples to join in the presentation, nor could we tour the major renovations in progress at the hospital. Mr White, the Board of Governors and the Donor Development Team were wonderful.
On May 25th, Maria Boyer-Jensen, a Director of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation Board, had the honor of presenting a check to Shriners Children’s Ohio. The check was for a Stryker Defibrillator in the amount of $60,207.00. 2020 Daughters of the Nile Foundation donates $1,720,000

Daughters of the Nile Foundation presented a check to Shriners Children’s – Texas

Daughters of the Nile Foundation presented a check to Shriners Children’s Texas on Monday. The check was for $29,800 for the purchase of a Cortrack 2 External Access System and a Barton Chair System 1400. Joining Daughters of Nile Foundation Board of Directors, Vice President, Herbie Kay Skinner Lundquist and Board Secretary, Carol Hefley was Vickie Tabor Hill, Supreme Princess Royal; Norma Scott, Queen Tabeel Temple No. 88; Dorothy Sellers, Queen Ramallah Temple No. 89; Elaine Bell, Princess Royal Tabeel No. 88 and Diane Moore, Princess Shalman No. 90. Shriners Children’s – Greenville

We gratefully recognized the Daughters of the Nile on reaching their third million dollar donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Greenville during an annual visit by the organization’s Supreme Queen. Thank you, Daughters of the Nile, for everything you do for our hospital!

McHenry Award

Nominations for the 2021 McHenry Awards are being accepted. Deadline for submissions is May 15, 2021.

John McHenry believed there should be an award to say “Thank You” to “Ladies of the Household” who are known as the Subordinate Temple “Worker Bees”. The ladies that are always there when the door opens! They volunteer hours and hours of their time and donate their resources. Temple and Clubs benefit from their work and are able to make significant contributions to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation.
