2020 Daughters of the Nile Foundation donates $1,720,000.00

Donna Kramer, Supreme Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, the Canadian Foundation and Carolyn Dobbs, Daughters of the Nile Foundation President will presented a check for $1,720,000.00 to the Imperial Potentate of Shriners Hospital for Children(R). At the Imperial Session in Houston Texas July 4 – 8, 2021. One of the most anticipated moments at Supreme Session is when the Canadian Foundation and the Daughters of the Nile Foundation along with the Supreme Queen present checks to the Imperial Potentate of Shriners Hospitals for Children(R). the following video was shown during Presentations at the Virtual Imperial Session on July 11, 2020.

McHenry Award

Nominations for the 2021 McHenry Awards are being accepted. Deadline for submissions is May 15, 2021.

John McHenry believed there should be an award to say “Thank You” to “Ladies of the Household” who are known as the Subordinate Temple “Worker Bees”. The ladies that are always there when the door opens! They volunteer hours and hours of their time and donate their resources. Temple and Clubs benefit from their work and are able to make significant contributions to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation.

If you know of a deserving Lady of the Household, please nominate her for the McHenry Award, Today!

Heather Krastins Lambert, Supreme Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, the Canadian Foundation and Jessica Penn, Daughters of the Nile Foundation President presented a check for $1,810,000.00 to the Imperial Potentate of Shriners Hospital for Children(R).  The video was shown during Presentations at the Virtual Imperial Session on July 11, 2020.

Making Children’s Hopes and Dreams come true!

Doriann Stein, President of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation was thrilled to present a check to Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Philadelphia, in the amount of $39, 347, on Thursday, April 18th.

Thanks to your generosity this appropriation will fund the renovation of the current playroom.  The goal is to create a modern and fun play space for the children and their families, a play space that would be a non-clinical ‘safe zone’.

 

 

 

Check Presentation – Salt Lake City, Utah

It was a great day to be a Daughter of the Nile!  Kendall Cusick-Rindone, Treasurer, Daughters of the Nile Foundation, presented Shriners Hospitals for Children®- Salt Lake City a check for $47,393 for 3 pieces of equipment at the February Board of Governors’ meeting.

One piece of equipment to be purchased is a “Broken Screw Remover”.  The Chief of Staff commented that this equipment will impact the Children directly and she was extremely grateful for our donation. The Board of Governors at the Salt Lake City, Shriners Hospitals for Children® Salt Lake City, gave the Foundation a standing ovation for their donation.

Doriann Stein, President of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation accompanied by Shirley A. Henley, Supreme Queen of the Daughters of the Nile were honored to present a check on behalf of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation, in the amount of $74,535 to Shriners Hospitals for Children-Greenville on March  14th. This check will fund the purchase of a set of Stryker System 8 Cordless Drivers. Thanks to all Daughters of the Nile for your generosity!

 

 

Check Presentation at Northern California

Muriel Knapp, Director of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation, attended a hospital-sponsored luncheon on February 6, 2019, in Sacramento, California, and, assisted by Shirley Henley, Supreme Queen,  presented to Alan Anderson , Director of Development, a check to the Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Northern California.   The cash donation by the Foundation, in the amount of $48,111.00 will be used to purchase Physical Therapy Gym Equipment and a Vein Viewer.  These hospital-requested items were on the Shriners Hospitals for Children® list of the Pre-Approved Capital Equipment Items for 2019.
