The McHenry Award is named after John McHenry. John was the lawyer who worked with the founding committee of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation to help create the Foundation. He believed there should be an award for Ladies of the Household who significantly contribute to the Foundation in some way. Since John’s passing in 2018, the award continues to be fully funded each year by the partners of the McHenry, Hazard, Roth, Hupp, Burkholder, and Blomenberg law firm of Lincoln, Nebraska. We thank the Firm for their continued support and congratulate the 2024 McHenry Award recipients.

This year the Daughters of the Nile Foundation added a “Rose Garden” for members to honor or remember the special people that “Made a Difference” in their lives.
For a small donation the donors were given a card with a rose on the front to write the name of those they wished to honor or remember. Cards were displayed at the Foundation Booth. Donors added their own names on the back of the cards to be eligible to win one of the four plates that were made with the help of Past Supreme Queen Sharon St. John after the Daughters of the Nile Plaque Presentation at the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Shreveport, Louisiana.
